Over thirty inches high.

Encouraged by John, and using skills he’d learnt from Frank Dobson, his old sculpture tutor at Central School of Arts and Crafts, Derek started to explore new forms and glazes, and to create his own ceramic sculptures, casting abstract forms in vitreous slip and firing them up to 1340º. Soon, extraordinary pieces started emerging from the kiln, some 78 cm, over thirty inches high.
